Joseph Wren Memorial Trophy
The Joseph Wren Memorial Trophy is an Australian rules football award given by the Collingwood Football Club to the best and fairest player at reserve grade or VFL level. The award is named after Joseph Wren, son of the famous John Wren, and benefactor of Collingwood between the 1940s and 1960s. The award was originally given to the player who was adjudged to have been the most improved on the list during the season, but this was altered in the late 1990s and the award is now given to the best performer in the club’s VFL (AFL reserves) team. The award has been named as the Joseph Wren Memorial Trophy since 2000.
